I hardly knew Robert Brown but I did know Shirley Mahanes. She was the sister of Howard Big Goose and Melvin Little Goose Mahanes who grew up on South Brown Street in Vinita. The obit also mentioned Roger Brown being his deceased brother. I knew Roger pretty well as he was about the same age as Little Goose who was my best high school friend and Roger would sometimes come in to Vinita during the summer months and he, Little Goose and I would run around together. Had no idea that Roger has passed away. The Browns of Big Cabin had a good reputation and did a good job running their general store. Robert certainly had a great life and meant a lot to the people of Craig County! ===========
