Record crowds took to the streets of Paris and cities across France on Sunday to march against extremism and honour the victims of a three-day terror spree that claimed 17 victims, starting with an attack on the offices of Charlie Hebdo. Some 1.5 million people took to the streets of the French capital in what was dubbed a unity march (Marche Républicaine) on Sunday. Across France, the interior ministry said 3.7 million people rallied in solidarity with the victims, the largest-ever street demonstrations seen in France.
