(Recorded in 1969) How far weve gotten off track in such a short time. How little pride people have in this once great country. How distant our government has wondered away from the vision in which it was created. I remember growing up in Germany with this feeling when I was a kid, before I came to America how all things American seemed great and incredible. I pray that if I ever have children that theyll be able to hold their heads up high and think as I did when I was a child. We have to stop expecting others to do the right thing. We have to stop looking at our leadership with frustration and anger yet doing nothing about it. We have to stop buying into the BS were fed by the media and start educating ourselves. We have to stop accepting the handouts and entitlements. Nothing is free in this world. We will either pay for it ourselves or pay for it with our freedoms. Personally I would rather settle the debt than be anything but 100% free. And, we have to get off of our asses and get involved. Make no mistake the American people gave away this country to corrupt politicians who care nothing for the people they serve or represent, and only the American people can take it back.
