Recreational use of marijuana becomes legal in Oregon, DC, and most likely Alaska once the results are certified. Theres an interesting story though to the results in Florida. Back in May, support for medical marijuana legalization was up to 90%, by October, it was down to 48%. Why the drastic change you ask? Well, Sheldon Adelson (a billionaire casino guy) pumped 5 million dollars of his own money (85% of the total funding) to run ads against the proposed amendment. Wouldnt ya know, the amendment failed. The question is, why would a Sheldon Adelson, a resident of Las Vegas, Nevada care so much about medical marijuana laws in a state he has no affiliation with?
