Red Riding Hood (2011): The 2011 movie version of Red Riding Hood has been said to be the Twilight version of the tale. This is due to the fact that director Catherine Hardwicke had directed Twilight. Not only that but it also has a key Twilight actor in Billy Burke. Just as he played father to Twilight’s Bella Swan, he plays the father of Red Riding Hood. Rather than retelling the familiar story of Red Riding Hood going through the forest to visit her grandmother only to find a wolf in her bed and clothing, this movie instead tells the story from the standpoint of the village she lives in and the threat that comes from the wolf. Some of the familiar elements of the story is incorporated here and Amanda Seyfried makes a fine Red Riding Hood. Overall the results are not bad including the twist to it.
