Redeemed In this actual dawning moment you are redeemed from whatever ghost of shame lies hidden beneath your conscious covers. You can feel it there, when you let yourself peek. It is not because you have done something uniquely sinful. It was there before you started making conscious choices. It is because you showed up on the planet in innocence, and tried your best to survive and thrive. Please show me the sin in that. This is a homeless, nameless shame, floating in the ocean of human consciousness, barnacled to no one. Is this the time to let it remind you of one thing? You have never fallen from Grace. But because you don’t feel this truth, you get to be redeemed. This is not something any one, or any church can bestow on you. It is authentically Self-bestowed by the transforming power of Grace resident in your heart. That which you think you have lost, can only be regained by that which you have never lost. If you try to work it out without Grace, you won’t. The vacuum of unworthiness is too unspeakable. Or so it feels. In this darkest hour will you let your Holy Mother carry you through the unknown to the non-consuming Fire? No one can tell you how. Only this: when you know there is no other way, and abandon all seeking, you have entered the manger of innocence, and the wise men (and women) of today, beholding the Star, will welcome you home.
