† Refirement † But Moses said to the LORD, Oh, my Lord, I - TopicsExpress

† Refirement † But Moses said to the LORD, Oh, my Lord, I am not eloquent, either in the past or since you have spoken to your servant, but I am slow of speech and of tongue. Then the LORD said to him, Who has made man’s mouth? Who makes him mute, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Is it not I, the LORD? Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall speak. But he said, Oh, my Lord, please send someone else. Ex. 4:10-13 ESV Moses was now eighty years old and living a quiet life as a shepherd near Mount Horeb. He had settled down, he had a wife, children and a steady job. Life was not what he had thought it would be while growing up in Egyptian royalty, but it wasn’t bad. God had other plans for him, and Moses became probably the most powerful person in scripture besides Jesus. But if Moses had gotten his way, he would have probably died a simple shepherd at Mount Horeb. Moses thought the dream of delivering his people was dead, when it was only beginning. He told God to send someone else but God would not take no for an answer. If I had gotten my way in my own life, I would not be here writing this today. God often has better plans for us than we do for ourselves. Our view is to narrow to see the whole picture. So when things are not going the way you want them to, know that God is working out something so much better than you had in mind. Keep the faith. Trust God. Keep putting one foot in front of the other one. When you stumble, get back up. It is not over, it is only beginning. Yours in Christ, Dion Todd - Pastor/Servant
