Reflection: Its amazing how when I first started coaching collegiately, the team was a decent one. There were talented recruits from various places... The track schedule was built on the best competition in the area all to prepare them for great competitions... I was told that I could not go many places.... But it is at this moment that I realize how I was denied taking my team to one of the biggest competitions in Texas even though they qualified and to see a different outcome this year brings me to this conclusion... Im a woman... I stood my ground.... I didnt kiss enough butt..... Hmmm but at the end of the day... The athletes still earned All-Conference Honors..... Oh and a National Qualifier.. I tell ya... Its hard being a woman in a field of men!!! So to those who WOULD NOT allow me to BUILD greater champions.... I thank you because you motivated me and now I have 4 track and field certifications and building great champions all over and Im #SHOWINGOUT while doing so!!!! I have my own training club and train athletes from Kaufman County to Ellis County to Dallas County... I have coaches asking me to be a part of their programs throughout DFW Metroplex as well as Oklahoma.... Thank You!! ~Be Blessed~
