Reflection-Matthew 20: 25-28 Many truths in the Bible seem to be backwards. People need to give in order to receive Luke 6:38. Many who are last will be first Matthew 19:30. People have to let go of life to keep life Matthew 16:35. Therefore; we shouldnt be surprised when Jesus tells His Disciples if anyone wants to be first/great in the Kingdom they need to first be servants. This all seems foreign to us because we mostly want to look out for self. But Jesus holds Himself up as the model for how he wants to live through us. Matthew 20:28. He did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His Life as a ransom for many. If we always had the Heart of a servant, our Relationships would show Him through us more Clearly and then we would be Great in the Kingdom.
