Reflections from my Yellow Ribbon Prison Run 2014: 1. There - TopicsExpress

Reflections from my Yellow Ribbon Prison Run 2014: 1. There were at least 13 pairs of uphills and downhills along the 10km route. Uphills are always tough, but de sense of satisfaction dat u get as u conquer each n every one of them makes u enjoy de downhill much much more. Well, tough times dun last, tough people do. 2. There was a certain part of de run where a ball of tape got stuck to de sole of my running shoe. It was quite uncomfortable but I dun usuali stop during my runs, so I juz tried to flick de tape off my shoe. After a few tries, seems dat de tape was rather persistent so I juz left it as it is. A kilometre later, de tape was gone! So, sometimes youve gotta give it time wen u r looking for a solution to a problem. 3. Training runs. Oh how they make ur competitive runs much more bearable. So I gotta put in more effort to haf more training runs so dat de body is more accustomed to de strains during a competitive run. So, running isnt only a physical sport. Its very much a mental one as well, coz as u pound those kilometres, u find inspiration n motivation from within to get u to de finish. And dats why I say de taste of finishing is OH, SO SWEET! =) #oneforty #yellowribbon #prisonrun #YRPR14 #FinishStrong #couragetostart #strengthtoendure #resolvetofinish #somedayallthesewillmakesense
