Refwatch 3. 26-08-13. Well I was wrong and unlike a lot of premiership prima donnas I am quite happy to admit I was wrong, some interesting refereeing tonight from Atkinson, the die was cast early in the game when Rooney was alowed to get away with 5 fouls in as many challenges in the space of 2 minutes (the last of which was an elbow to John Terrys head) which referee Atkinson chose not even to award a free kick. Valencia somehow stayed on the pitch after trying to cut Oscar in two, Atkinson thought fit to just lecture him, and the net result of Van Persie elbowing a Chelsea player in the mouth was a yellow card for the now bleeding Chelsea player, Clattenburg was his usual self giving us very little against Villa and letting Agbonlahor in particular get away with kicking his way through the match, and even managed to miss a penalty 5 minutes from time. I was surprised the bitters only managed a 0-0 against West Brom, I expected them to have more points after these matches. Dissappointed that Stoke kicked their way to a 2-1 win over Sunderland, performance of the week has to be Cardiff`s win over Man City, Hart needs to concentrate on the ball rather than fouling an attacker, and City need to learn to defend corners in general
