Regarding the announcement of the RIchmond Indiana Red Devil Alumni Band performance on Dec 20, the event has been cancelled by the current band director, Mr Terry Bettner. This is the information I have received at this time. His email of this afternoons cancellation announcement follows: Alumni Band--will need to look at next year Michele, Unfortunately, we will need to put the Alumni Band on hold until next year. There are a number of reasons that I, as the band director, feel it is not an ideal mix for our program at the present time. I will need to see that a plan is in place for instruments, music, background checks (standard for all people in close contact/proximity to our kids), and positive-encouraging relations between the band and alumni and other staff/directors. If you would like to discuss this, please set an appointment with the main office (973-3424). We can then discuss the next steps to take to move this effort forward in a positive direction.
