Regarding the letter below...I responded to Silva and Manos... Dear Mr. Manos and Mr. Silva, I and others wrote to you regarding the post your employee posted on the Save Mickey Facebook page. While I appreciate the quick response and the fact that the matter was handled. I have to question the email you returned to another writer. The question I have regarding this, is that if MCACC is so proud of being transparent why would facebook get you a heart attack? The outrage is concerning how things are done at MCACC. While I feel like we are making some progress, there are still many issues and concerns that I and many others would like to be addressed. Other animal controls are not constantly on facebook being scrutinized because they do care about the animals in their facility. The difference between walking in to Pinal County Animal Control, for example, and walking into MCACC is you can feel and see the difference. The staff is friendly and happy to assist. The facility is always clean. The dogs appear to be well cared for. They have gone the extra mile on so many occasions to save a life. While we all know they are not perfect, they try, they make suggestions, they work hard to get good people to donate time and money for medical funds. They listen to people. Maybe they have better luck at getting more and better people because they do try so hard. I hope that we can continue to work together to make improvements. Also, Mr. Silva, I as well as Kathy Swaney are interested in attending the meetings regarding pregnant dogs. Do you have an idea of when this will start? I will need enough advance notice so that I can request time from work. I am guessing this was an error on your part and she was not supposed to receive this.
