Regardless of mine or Daniels past, violent times we had as kids in the Maryland and DC skinhead scenes.. we refuse to raise our daughter in violence. If a person cannot work out their differences using words, no matter if those words are spoken or shouted, that is sad. There is never, I repeat NEVER a reason to resort to attacking someone, especially when they are trying to be the bigger person and just walk away. My daughter will not grow up learning that it is okay to treat another human being like that. We are not Shanks.. we are Dorffners she and I. We are made of classier stuff than that. We dont have to hide our trailor park behind lies and deception. We own our mistakes when we make them, and we dont physically attack other people. We may think about it .. but thinking and doing are two totally different things. If this gave me anything.. it gave me all new love for Daniel.. who, through all of his faults, is a beautiful soul who has never turned his back on me, never faultered in his loyalty to me, never uttered a nasty word about me, and always manages to be there when I need him the most. Thank you Daniel. Thank you. I still have Christmas spirit through all of this, and why is that? Because I have my best friend in my life who loves me unconditionally, I have a beautiful little girl who smiles sparkles and sunshine, and I have all of you. The love of good friends and family.
