I will not be able to fight this by myself. I feels like everyone giving up. Here I am still up after midnight way passed my bedtime... steering at these boys picture on my phone, try to not cry. Clock is ticking..... everybo...See More UPDATE on 11/12: I wrote another plea with a full detailed report on how hard team Dodger and Butter have been working to fight against the odds. My request was granted, but it’s not time to celebrate just yet. There are many more challenges on the tasks. Without everyone’s support, we will lose this case. We have an extra couple of days to reach the full needed amount for that 36 month stipulation on Dodger & Butter (we are short for about 16 months coverage). We made some incredible progress on Monday, but not so much going on yesterday. Please dont slow down now. We have streched all our luck for 3 given extension’s on a “Rescue Only” case (thats something which has never been done before!!)... so please dont waste this last chance. SHARE this post again on your timeline. Get their story exposed... get more explosure! Get these faces in front of everyone’s page...create the awareness on how many thousand’s of people to stand behind these two boys. Its not about one case worth more than the others; its about fighting for the voiceless animals. Their fate had been sealed before we stepped in... the mother of their owner wanted them to die, she intentionally set up the trap, and she will win this battle without us fighting for these boys! ___________ Previous post: There is a 300k stipulation for canine liability insurance placed on these two dogs. It’s not a standard insurance that you can just put on your homeowner insurance. There are several companies who are providing this type of insurance; however, not many would cover the extreme limit required. We have sent out inquiries and received some responses. It will cost a $1,000 annual coverage per-dog. There is a story behind this entire unique situation. Back in early October 2013, these dogs were stolen by the mother of the dog’s owner; and then turned into the kill shelter. The owner was able to trace back the dogs and get them back. BTW, the owner lives in the same property as his mother. Duh! Within a week after the dogs returned back to their owner, there was an incident that involved one of the dogs. Lets just face it; the dog’s owner has a very unstable background and relationship with his mother. One of the dogs bit a young teenager, which God only knows what may have triggered that situation. The bite mark was very MINOR (it did not require any special medical treatment). The ACO had to return twice to the property within a short period of time, and the dog’s owner irrational behavior sealed the fate of his dogs. The incident was not a big deal, and in a normal situation would only require having the dogs placed into quarantine for 2 weeks. In this case, the ACO put a stipulation on the dogs after the quarantine period was clear (just to make sure they would not return back to their irresponsible owner). Their status was changed to “RESCUE ONLY” and some heavy inquiries are spells in details. The mother of the dog’s owner had set this trap. She intentionally wanted these dogs to be killed, way before the irrational behavior incident took place. She thought she already had won; thinking: there would be no rescues willing to pay the $2,000 annual coverage for 3 years! Yes, that was a very calculated risk! However, here we are…. We captured their story just a day before these dogs were scheduled to be killed. Within our network, we want to fight this injustice. It would not be an easy task for anyone. It would take a huge amount of support to get them the second chance. We want to raise enough pledges to be put into a trust account under the dogs names. We want the rescue to be able to look at them without any worries of the financial burden that was set on their stipulation. We need every single bit of support we can get. Please pledge $10, $20, $50, $100, or whatever amount you can afford to spare. Once we have achieved the needed amount in pledges, then we will set up a trust account to make sure the insurance will be paid on time for the entire 36 months required; and, the county ACO will get their copy of liability insurance certificate. We will play under their rules and fight the odds together. Please help us help Dodger and Butter. Clock is ticking. Time is of the essence…. Please.
