Regret to inform the group of the passing today of Gar Thorsrud, father to Lynn 74 (Nystrom), Erik and Mark Thorsrud, all MHS alumni. Gar was President of Intermountain Aviation at Marana Air Park, and later GM/Owner of Sierra Pacific Airlines. I will always have deep respect for Gar, he served our country as a pilot in the Korean War, and most notably with the outfit as its known by those in the business. He was a great husband, father, and grandfather. He was a good friend to the Dobbins family, and will be sorely missed by all. Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers as they go through this difficult time. Lynn, Erik, and Mark have been childhood friends since the early 60s at MAP and Red Rock School. RIP Gar Thorsrud.
