Reiki Level III Day 2 -Cho-Ku-Rei to Remove Negative Energeries---January 20, 2015 In Level II, we used Cho Ku Rei – The Power symbol can be used to spiritually clean a room from negative energy, to leave it positive and in the light. Draw or visualize the symbols on all the walls, ceiling and floor with the intent to energize the room. The Power symbol can be used to spiritually clean a room from negative energy, to leave it positive and in the light. Draw or visualize the symbols on all the walls, ceiling and floor with the intent to energize the room. To clean crystals and other objects from negative energies, draw the power symbol above or on the crystal/object with the intent of cleansing it and restoring it to its original state. Protect yourself from negative energies either from people you treat or people you meet. Draw or visualize the Reiki Power symbol in front of you. You can also draw it on an object or person with the intent of being totally protected Draw Reiki symbols with hands/fingers to clear spaces. It is important to draw the symbols on walls, ceilings, windows, doorways and floors. Just follow your intuition to guide you to what should be cleansed. Brush your aura to remove any non productive energy that might be lingering, a simple way is to sweep your hands down each side of your body from head to toe. Some refer to this method of removing negative energy as psychic surgery; I prefer to compare it to preparation for surgery, not the actual surgical procedure. We sterilize the tools, environment, and self before we begin treatment. Maybe detoxify is an even better word. One of the simpler yet effective methods to flush negativity and toxins is known as Gedoky ho. “Ge” means to “bring down” and Doku” means “poison or toxin”. Its prime focus is to be able to detoxify both self and client. As an added benefit is that is also used to improve the digestion after eating and reduces the side effect of many medicines or treatments. We’re going to use the “tanden” with this. I’m often confused by exactly what tanden means, especially within the context we often find it used. Here’s a pretty thorough break down: Tanden is called Dantian in Chinese and consists of two Chinese characters - Tan and Den. Tan” is interpreted several ways, one I like is the elixir of life” or maybe more descriptively as” the origin of energy. Den, refers to a paddy field. We may define the term Tanden as a field or the source where we can raise as much energy as we need. Or to put into the concept of Reiki, Tanden is the whole body. Many times we see Tandem spoken of as upper, middle, and lower Tandem, also front and back Tanden. Now we will put Gedoky ho into action: Do all the steps slowly. Begin with several deep breaths to relax and hold your hands in the Gassho position. State your intent to remove the toxins and negative energies. Next draw or visualize the master symbol as a beam of light in the middle of your palms, next see the power symbol followed by the symbol of harmony. Now place one hand on the front (lower) tanden and the other hand on the back of the tanden (one hand in front of them below the navel and the other hand on there lower back etc). (This can be done for self or another) “See” the Reiki flow from your hands, into the front and back of the body, imagine the light flushing the toxins out of the body, through the feet back to Mother earth. If you’re working with a client, ask them to also imagine the toxins exiting the body through the feet back to earth. Many masters say to do this for 13 minutes; I prefer not to use a time limit, but to continue until you feel the toxins have left the body. There are several other techniques for cleansing as well. - Jacki-Kiri Joka-ho (Transforming negative energy) Jacki” means negative energy and Kiri means to cut,”Joka-Ho” is a purification technique; it teaches how to cut-off negative energy from any object. * Important note: It has always been taught that this technique should never to be used on a living being (human, animal, etc.) You should use other purification techniques such as joshin kokyuu-ho or hanshin koketsu-ho etc. Some objects you come across like jewelry, crystals etc can sometimes contain Negative energy and this technique can help rectify this. Here is the exercise: • Do all these steps slowly • Place the object to be purified, in your non-dominant hand (if you’re right handed then place it in the left etc.). • Start to hold your breath in your tanden (middle or stomach area: • Now with your dominant hand about 2 - 4 inches above the object start make a horizontal cutting/chopping motion over the object for three times only. • Stop the chopping motion abruptly after the Third time, and then release your breath. • Finally after this purification, send Reiki to the object for a few minutes to complete the process. Obviously if the Object is too large etc simply place it in front of you or if it’s still too large (Office, Car etc) then use Distant Healing with the above procedures. scribd/doc/86618704/26/Appendix-I-Jacki-Kiri-Joka-ho-Transforming-negative-energy Another technique is Kenyoku-Ho - ken - dry, yoku - bath, a great method for cleansing yourself before and after each treatment, disconnecting ones energy from others as well as strengthen your own energy, dry bathing or clearing ones energy field. (It is done by Shinto priests at some ceremonies to clear/purify body and spirit. According to some resources - originally the brushing was only from wrist to tips of fingers; the brushing of the arms from shoulder to hand is an addition by H. Doi) 1) Place your right hand on your left shoulder with palm gently touching your shoulder. 2) In a smooth & gentle motion slide the hand down to the right hip - while breathing out (Haa sound) 3) Repeat the process on the right side, using the left hand sliding down toward the left hip. 4) Repeat once or twice more on each side. Always breathe out when sliding down - Haa sound. 5) Now place the right hand on the edge of the left shoulder and slide the hand down the left arm all the way to the fingertips. Left arm is straight and at your side. 6) Place the left hand on the edge of the right shoulder and slide the hand down the right arm all the way to the fingertips while right arm is straight and at your side. 7) Repeat it once or twice with both hands. 8) Put your hands on the lap. reiki-healing-touch/about%20reiki/japanese.htm Practice these techniques tonight, make them yours. Tomorrow we begin to add crystals to our tool bag. First are the Crystals associated with the Chakras and how we can use them to focus and amplify or Reiki flow. We will also see how to make a Reiki Crystal Grid to send Reiki to yourself and / or others continuously for a period In Level II, we used Cho Ku Rei – The Power symbol can be used to spiritually clean a room from negative energy, to leave it positive and in the light.
