In Revelation 6 John witnesses the opening of the Seals and the release of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Most evangelicals are expecting an important and mind blowing event to mark the opening of the Seals. The truth is, as we see it, some of the Seals are open and have been for 5000+ years. Also, one must read Ezekiel 14:21 to understand the Four Horsemen. Ezekiel 14:21 21For thus saith the Lord GOD; How much more when I send my four sore judgments upon Jerusalem, the sword, and the famine, and the noisome beast, and the pestilence, to cut off from it man and beast? Revelation 6:1-2 1And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see. 2And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer. Daniel 8:19-21 19And he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be. 20The ram which thou sawest having two horns are the kings of Media and Persia. 21And the rough goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king. The first king as it is described in Daniel 8 is, in our opinion, Alexander the Great as it describes the downfall of this first king and the fact that his kingdom would be split up into four kingdoms. These four kingdoms were not of his seed, as was the case with Alexander the Great, after his death. Daniel 8:22 22Now that being broken, whereas four stood up for it, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in his power.
