As part of our plans to expand the engagement of students and other key stakeholders in Southeast Asia, an exciting opportunity for a Singapore-based International Liaison Manager post has arisen within the University’s International Office. The post-holder will contribute to the development and implementation of the University’s student recruitment strategy through leading on or supporting a number of recruitment and marketing projects. Candidates are expected to be educated to an upper second class honours degree level or equivalent, and preferably possess one to two years’ relevant work experience. The role will require a strong interest in the higher education sector in Southeast Asia, and the ability and willingness to undertake some regional travel. The ability to work effectively in one or more languages widely spoken in Southeast Asia, other than English, would be highly advantageous. The University is an equal opportunity employer. JOB DESCRIPTION POST TITLE: International Liaison Manager (based in Singapore) DEPARTMENT: International Office POST RESPONSIBLE TO: Operations Director, Singapore Hub SALARY: S$40,000 per annum (negotiable) CLOSING DATE: Monday, 6th October 2014 5.00 pm British Summer Time (12 midnight Singapore time) INTERVIEW DATE: Saturday, 18th October 2014, in Singapore JOB PURPOSE: To support student recruitment and engagement with alumni and other stakeholders for the University in Southeast Asia. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. To recruit students to Warwick at all levels (foundation, undergraduate, postgraduate) across the ASEAN region, supporting the Operations Director and Senior Liaison Manager, including provision of accurate advice and application guidance to prospective students, in person and/or through email correspondence and phone calls. 2. To organise participation in, and attending in person where required, exhibitions and other promotional events overseas, and briefing/making arrangements for other staff attending such events. 3. To provide market intelligence data, reports and advice on the designated territories to academic and administrative colleagues as required. This will include ad hoc reports through the year, as well as regular monitoring of data. 4. To develop and monitor the University’s online and social media presence in the region to enhance student recruitment and contacts with stakeholders. 5. To assist Warwick colleagues with organising programmes for visitors from Southeast Asia to the University, in particular planning and executing programmes for senior delegations and personnel, and to advise senior University colleagues involved in such visits. 6. Working with the Operations Director to develop strategies to raise the profile of the University in the ASEAN countries including identifying and taking forward opportunities for academic collaboration, student exchanges and other programmes and events. 7. To deputise for the Operations Director as required, and undertake other duties as instructed from time to time by the Operations Director.
