Sevdah for Petronella is 1th solo piano album of Nihad Hrustanbegovic, composer and concert artist from Amsterdam, born in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Sevdah for Petronella is made in Pavarotti Music Centre in Mostar, Bosnia and Hercegovina on 27, 28 and 29 Augustus 2013. Symphonic and cinematic sevdah and cross over music with classical, jazz and world music influences. Perhaps and maybe the first piano sevdah solo album in the history of music in the Bosnia and Herzegovina and worldwide. Sevdah for Petronella is existing of 8 well known sevdah love poems: Sto te nema, Oj Djevojko Anadolko, Ali Pasa na Hercegovini, U Stambolu na Bosforu, Kradem ti se, Emina, Kad ja podjoh na Bembasu, Kraj tanana Sadrvana arranged and improvised by Nihad Hrustanbegovic and 2 new compositions, Sevdah for Petronella and The Bridge composed by Nihad Hrustanbegovic. After 3 solo accordion albums, more than 1000 concerts in the Netherlands and in the rest of Europe and finally his first concerts since 19 years in Bosnia and Herzegovina in Zenica, Tuzla and at opening of 19th Sarajevo Film Festival on 16th of august 2013 Nihad Hrustanbegovic got inspired. Sevdah for Petronella is the product of 19 years living in The Netherlands, Amsterdam and France but never stopping loving sevdah music.
