Relief for those affected by the Typhoon in the Philippines. Lia Farrow is sending her helper Lyzette to her region with food and aide items. Her family is on the Panay island which was hit terribly by the Typhoon. She has 45 kilos of baggage allowance. Her area is in urgent need of the following items: >instant noodles, (wood fire cooking as no electricity) >canned sardines, >instant coffee, tea bags, sugar, >bar soap, >candles, >powdered laundry soap, >rechargeable flashlights or battery powered flashlights with batteries (there is a community generator where flashlights can be plugged in to recharge), > School supplies for her daughters school: pencils, erasers, notebooks, crayons, scissors, markers, rulers. There will be a box at HomeSolutions until Tues 19Nov. If anyone would like to donate cash, she will use it to purchase rice from Manila and will keep receipts of how much spent for transparency/accountability.
