Relief to Mallika Sherawat :: New Delhi, Aug 16: Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat got relief in the case that she performed an obscene dance. A case was registered against her in a Gujarat court that she performed an obscene dance in a five star hotel in Mumbai on December 31 2006. Baroda Bar Association former president Narender Tiwari filed the case in Gujarat court in 2007. He said her dance telecast in TV channels was likely to cause deviation to the youth. The Gujarat high court rejected Mallika’s plea to quash the case. The court also issued her bailable warrant. She was to have appeared in the court on August 19. Mallika approached the Supreme Court where a stay was imposed on the case in Gujarat.
