#ChinUpMAS If you know me since boarding school, you would have known that I have a purple blanket that I carry around everywhere. From daily use in dorm to camping in Kerachut. I brought the same blanket to Uni, hiking in Sacramento, travelling through Nice and I still carry the same blanket everywhere I go. The purple blanket is 10 years now. It is my comfort item. I am still using it today. I dont use my comforter. That purple blanket is my bantal busuk. I have such a weird relationship with it. That blanket was the MAS blanket I stole from my trip when I was 11. One of my fondest memories with MAS was when I traveled back home from Heathrow when I was 9. That was my first time travelling alone. I remember being seated in coach for the first hour before they changed me to first row of the first class to be closer to the attendants. They were with me all the time, they gave me cards and most importantly, they fed me twice because being a noob as I am, I thought you can simply order food. During the layover in KLIA before flying to Penang, one of the stewardess accompanied me the whole time, bought me food (with her own money!) and escorted me to the plane. Another great experience was when I flew to Sabah when I was twelve. I had the most delicious Nasi Lemak that put any Nasi Lemak elsewhere to shame to this very day. I also loveeeeeeeeeee this particular green bengkang that they serve in every KUL-PEN flight. I forgot the name but usually elsewhere in the world, it was just the bengkang, but MAS has have this particular gravy that is out of this world. It was marvellous! When I first got to America, my first flight was MAS even though they actually dont go to JFK. I got down at LAX, spent some time with the crews before taking another flight to JFK. I remember everything in that specific flight and the hours that followed (which should remain a secret) but it was the best memories in flight I had so far. Although MAS no longer fly to LAX (or Rome :( ), MAS remains as my comfort airlines. As cheap as Etihad may be, or as comfortable and luxurious Emirates is, they cannot give the sense of being at home. I can never ask for Milo tarik and shrimp Magee in other airlines. I cannot be 45,000ft away from earth and 6000 miles away from Malaysia and feel like I am still in Malaysia. I may not use MAS as often as I used to, but whenever I could, I will always pick MAS over any other airlines. Even AirAsia cannot beat that! Fly high!
