The Moving Date It is interesting what needs to happen in order to move from one location to another. First, you need to find the location to move to. Either your items go to a storage place or to a dwelling. The dwelling can be an apartment, flat, studio, or house. Then you need to set the moving date. This date determines how you will handle the move. If the date is a few days away, there will be chaos. If its weeks away, there will be aggravation. If it’s a few months away, there will be irritation. No matter what your moving date is, there will be some kind of unsettling. Change is a combination of adventure and uncertainties. Step three is inventory of all household goods. This will determine the size of the truck, moving container, or having a good yard sale. Step four is the arduous packing. Boxes, crates, bubble wrap, newspaper, markers, tape and more tape. Fifth is calling the various providers to open and close accounts. For example, utility providers, change personal bank information, and contacting the postal service. Then it happens, the moving date has arrived. The truck pulls up to your location. Friends, and a friend of a friend are at your door step, as the mass exodus of boxes, crates, items in bubble wrap enter the ark. Finally, the ark pulls away into uncharted waters. That’s only half the event. Finally the truck arrives at the new location, and you meet new friends, and a friend of a friend to help unpack the ark, into a new home. The Bible tells us that we have a final grand moving date. All humanity will be impacted by that date. Before we arrive at the final moving date, the Bible speaks of several moving dates. The first moving date recorded in the Bible was when Satan and his rebels were cast out of heaven, into a rebellious planet called earth. There was a mass relocation in one day. (Revelation 12:9) The next major moving date occurred with the antediluvian world. God called Noah to build an Ark. God invited all humanity to enter the Ark. Humanity had a choice, either enter the Ark of safety or get left behind. The moving date arrived, and all who were in the Ark were moved to safety. (Genesis 7:15-23) The third moving date was with the new nation of Israel. God spoke with Moses, and prepared the people who were enslaved to be ready for the moving date. The day arrived and in one large exodus, the people left Egypt and marched toward the Promised Land. (Exodus 12:41) The next major moving date is with humanity. God will come in splendor and beauty. In one day, He will arrive and take His people home with Him to heaven. Those who accept the gift of salvation will enter into the gates of heaven, and those who don’t will be left behind. (Matthew 24:35-42) Now for the grand moving date. The Bible tells us that the throne of heaven will be moved to planet earth. Our planet will be the new center of the universe. God and His angels will have a grand moving date. There will be a great celebration on that day. But only those who accepted the invitation to the grand feast will be in attendance. “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.” Revelation 21:1-7 How is your life today? Are you ready in a moment’s notice to leave everything behind and be part of the greatest moving event in history? The moving date has been set. Our Lord and His angels will depart heaven to take us home. The question that you and I must answer is simple. Are we ready for the moving date? Sometimes the moving date seems like it’s in the far distance, and we become despondent, discouraged, and disheartened. But don’t lose courage. “We must have a knowledge of the Scriptures, that we may trace down the lines of prophecy and ... see that the day is approaching, so that with increased zeal and effort we may exhort one another to faithfulness.... Give up our faith? lose our confidence? become impatient? No, no. We will not think of such a thing.... See how the specifications of the prophecies have been and are fulfilling. Let us lift up our heads and rejoice, for our redemption draweth nigh. It is nearer than when we first believed. Shall we not wait patiently, filled with courage and faith? Shall we not make ready a people to stand in the day of final reckoning?” The Review and Herald, July 31, 1888 May God bless you this Sabbath as you prepare for the Moving Date Angel Angel J.
