Relief to flash-flood sufferers as per SDRF norms: Bhalla SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 08: Minister for Horticulture Mr. Raman Bhalla while replying on behalf of Minister for Revenue to a Calling Attention Notice of Mr. Jugal Kishre informed the House that heavy damages have been caused to private and public properties due to flash floods during August this year. He said that Rs 1801.74 lakh have been released and placed at the disposal of Deputy Commissioner, Jammu for payment of relief to the flash flood sufferers of the Jammu besides temporary restoration of public infrastructure. Replying to another Calling Attention Notice of Mr. Charanjit Singh, the Minister said that about 4000 kanals of agriculture land have been damaged due to flash floods by river Ujh. He said that the relief will be provided to the sufferers as per SDRF norms after receiving assami-wise details from the field agencies.
