Religion portrays a distant God appeasing his unyielding wrath towards sinful man through the death of his son. The Bible teaches something much more intimate and fascinating. It was God IN Christ, personally reconciling the world to himself, not counting their sins against them. How? By enacting their plan devised before the first human was created, Jesus literally BECAME sin on the cross, and SIN was judged in the body of the last Adam. He was raised from the dead the firstborn of a new creation, immortal and free from sin. God reconciled mankind to himself, and Paul tells us that God and Jesus are now through ambassadors beseeching mankind to be reconciled to him. It’s not about right and wrong, it’s about Life or Death. Choose Life!
