Religious fanatics abduct Hindu girl in Sindh Raj Kumar, uncle of Rinkel Kumari protesting against abduction of Jyoti Kumari. Yet another Hindu girl has been abducted by the Islamic religious fanatics in Jamshoro, Sindh and the news has been totally blacked out by the Pakistani media and the police authorities have been inactive as ever. Jyoti Kumari, an engineering student in the Electronics Department of the Mehran University, has been kidnapped by the religious fanatics in Jamshoro from the outside lawn of her hostel in broad daylight. Jyoti’s father Amrat Lal alleged that some Pathan boys were behind this incident who eyed her and used to disturb her and Jyoti informed about this disturbance in home in many previous occasions. Jyoti was abducted on 23rd of September and she was kept at the Kotri Madrasa so that a religious conversion can be performed on her to convert into Islam and then married off to the religious fanatic who was eyeing on her. The local Madrasas have been the epicenters of such abduction and other activities. Mian Mitho’s Madrasa is infamous for such activities and the infamous case of the forced conversion of Rinkel Kumari and then 7 years old Asha Kumari’s conversion took place in the same place. As per some Pakistani media reports more than a thousand religious abduction cases are registered each year in Pakistan and much more than that goes unreported. The victims blame political connivance in this and the police are accused of staying passive with active support to the culprits. On the other hand such religious atrocities are foods for the so called secular Sindhi organizations like JSMM, JSQM etc but occasionally they also stand like mute spectator and this is the case with the abduction of Jyoti. The religious atrocities on the Pakistani Hindus show no sign of an end. The Hindus of Pakistan is treated like abandoned orphan with no country of their home whose population can share their voice, not even India whose constitution is “secular”, and can’t raise voice for Hindu community despite their hell-like trauma.
