Remember Duke our longest shelter resident? With 500 plus days under his belt his guardian angel and best friend to the shelter Jeanne procured a spot for him at the Second Chance Animal Refuge Society in Auburn KS. He left us yesterday (Friday), groomed and all smiles. He is going to be able to run to his hearts content on 25 acres of enclosed land. He will also have access to three ponds on the property for even more uninhibited exercise. Thank you Jeanne (there is not enough thanks in the world for this woman) and hugs to Duke. Jeanne checked in later in the day and said they arrived safely and all went very well at the refuge. Because we do not euthanize for space. Amazing dogs deserve great homes. :)
