Remember Me Thursday is a global awareness campaign that shines a light on the 3.4 million shelter pets, annually, who never got a chance at a happy life with a forever family. Learn about Remember Me Thursday, September 25, 2014: remembermethursday.org Animal-lovers and animal welfare organizations across the globe will unite on Thursday, September 25, 2014, (the fourth Thursday of September, annually) with Remember Me Thursday pet candle-lighting ceremonies. The candles, lit on the exact same day across the world, will honor the millions of pets who lost their lives without the benefit of a loving home and shine a light on the millions of healthy pets who are still awaiting adoption. The Remember Me Thursday global awareness campaign encourages individuals to light a candle this day (literally or virtually) and to opt to adopt, reducing the millions of orphan pets euthanized each year. Get involved: bit.ly/RMTGetInvolved Mike Arms, world renowned animal advocate and creator of Remember Me Thursday, says, “Remember Me Thursday 2013 was the first time that something has been done where animal lovers all over the world can join forces to promote pet adoption and decrease euthanasia. Now, with a whole year to work on bringing everyone together, we expect to see an even greater increase in candlelight vigils and public awareness around the globe, to help our furry friends.” What will you do in 2014 to help orphan pets?
