Remember Stella?? For those that dont know about stella. She was bought to us via the dog warden on the 27th Feb 2013 covered in Mange and practically starving to death. we nursed her back to health before the Labrador lifeline helped to find her a forever home. Weve been kept in contact by the new owners of stella since she finally found her forever home. There is a little update in Labrador round up magazine that Id like to share with you. UPDATE ON STELLA Well I cant believe its been 15 months since I told you about the day I went to my new home. Youll be pleased to know that I settled in very quickly with my Mum and Misty and I look forward to meeting my friends in the nearby woods every day. I especially like to run around with the younger dogs as I always forget Im 9 and lots of people dont believe my Mum when they ask her how old I am. Misty has to walk slowly now as she is 14 and cant see or hear very well so I always keep an eye on her when were out to make sure she knows where to go. I love chasing my ball especially when Mum throws it with that long plastic stick as it goes a long way and Im really good at catching it after one bounce. The other thing I love doing is swimming when my Mum says its safe for me - I love the sea. Sometimes my Mums son comes to see us, which is great as he plays with me and the three of us go out for a really long walk. My Mums friends has got two young whippets who come and stay quite often - theyre very lively but I like playing with them and I dont mind sharing my toys with them now. George is my special friend as he welcomed me when i stayed with Auntie Alma and Uncle Dick for a while before I came to my new home. George comes and stays with us quite often and I like that. In the house my favourite thing is to sit on my mums lap and legs. I know Im a bit big but i snuggle up close and go to sleep. I think my Mum enjoys it too. Ive had to go and have some special baths at the vets during the year to keep my mange under control but they all know me now and make a big fuss of me. Actually my coat is looking lovely and shiny now. Well I must go as Im sure its time for my tea - did I mention, Im very fond of my food.........
