Remember a few hours ago when I said we were going to rent a motorbike and head for the caves. Oh what a day so far. First to get anyone at the front desk at all was good, then to get them to understand you is even worse. This little city of Dong Hoi is not very equipped for tourists at all. Anyway back to getting a motorbike. There was this couple from England that got off of the bus in front of our hotel, they were told they were in Phong Nha. They were surprised when they found out how far it was to the national park. Anyway how does that relate to us.... The couple got a taxi to Phong Nha. We were going to Phong Nha but didnt know how to get there. We got our motorbike and decided to follow the taxi. Unlike the states things are not gassed up and ready to go. Lmao. We get out of town about 6 km and we run out of gas on a narrow highway to Phong Nha. Some guy stops and gets it started and motions us to follow him to gas. Well we really run out and that guy just keeps on going. We push it up to the top of the hill, dad is mad because he didnt look at the gas before we take out of town and I am rolling on the ground laughing at our predicament. We look at each othe and some man pulls out from a side dirt road and after one of the best games of charades I have ever played the old man takes Dad I to town for gas. Guess what he leaves me on the side of the road guessing if that old man will bring dad back and how long it will take. Left me on a foreign communistic country where I cant speak to any one. Omg I am cracking up so much. A woman that lives near where we pulled off offered me to come I. And I think gave me tap water. Lol. Dada made it back and we are now back on the road. Oh this is so much fun.
