Remember the 4 lion cubs that were confiscated in Cairo airport by - TopicsExpress

Remember the 4 lion cubs that were confiscated in Cairo airport by Dr. Saleh Ibrahim and delivered to the Giza zoo? Two of those cubs unfortunately died because of the ugly and nasty nature of the Giza zoo. With the grace of God however, the two others are alive and doing well thanks to the pressure exerted by the local community of animal lovers as well as of course the pressure of the international community via Truus Laan and Stichting Leeuw… on that hell hole called the Giza zoo. Today, as I was browsing the web, I coincidentally found this beautiful and very touching video of the 2 cubs. WHAT HONORS AND HUMBLES ME HOWEVER, IS THAT ONE OF THE TWO CUBS HAS BEEN NAMED AFTER ME!!! I hope with all my heart that Cherifa (Xherifa) and Dina will leave Egypt with Truus Laan and go to Stichting Leew where they will definitely have the opportunity to lead a good life until they are maybe ready to be released in the wild life where they belong. Truus Laan, I have to thank you personally for bestowing on me the privilege of having a cub named after me. You will never know how much that means to me!! Thank you!
