Remember the cool kids when you were growing up? Remember how badly you wanted to be in their group? How you wanted the cool guy or gals arm around your waist? Or maybe you were one of the cool kids. Maybe you remember how badly everyone wanted to be you. Heres my question: Is it worth it to try to be that? Lets face it, not every kid is cut out for the cool crowd. It takes a certain style, personality. Well, here are my thoughts. If your kid isnt cool, help him be cool with who he actually is. Help him not feel pressure to be anyone else. Help him to see that he really is cool, just maybe not by the standard definition. And if your child is cool? Help her also be cool with who she is, so he never feels the need to show off how much cooler she is than the other kids. As a result, your un-cool kid will be the coolest un-cool kid around... And your cool kid will be the coolest cool kid around. ... Hope I didnt lose you there. This email has been a bit too cool even for me ;-) Have a great one, Master Dusty Miner.
