Remember the post a few weeks ago about the Centers for Disease - TopicsExpress

Remember the post a few weeks ago about the Centers for Disease Controls Dog Bite page? Under How can dog bites be prevented?, there had been advice to, “Teach the dog submissive behaviors (e.g., rolling over to expose the abdomen and giving up food without growling).” This was outdated and potentially dangerous for families to do with their dogs. The American College of Veterinary Behaviorists wrote a letter to the CDCs National Center for Injury Prevention and Control, and theyve now deleted that sentence from their website. Im impressed with how responsive and gracious they were, and look forward to more partnered conversation about dog bite safety. Thank you, CDC :)
