Remembering Heather-Anne Tucker One day, a son asked his father, “Why is it always the best people who die?” The father answered, “Son, if you are in a meadow, which flowers do you pick? The worst ones or the best?” Author unknown. As a community we grieve the loss of a child that inspired us all to live a life full of strength and determination. Bluestone High School student, Heather-Anne Tucker passed away from brain cancer on Thursday, July 10, 2014. Before her passing, Heather-Anne continued to live life as an active ninth grader. On the soccer field, Heather-Anne brought her team together to believe in hope. Her determination to live a normal life while fighting cancer was an inspiration to not only her classmates but to everyone around her. Heather-Anne brought awareness to childhood cancer and the need to increase funding for research in finding a cure. May the light of Heather-Anne’s life guide us through the days ahead so that we may find peace and comfort knowing that her spirit will always remain a part in all of us forever. The staff of Mecklenburg County Public Schools extends our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and community of Heather-Anne Tucker. mybigcampus/blog/james-thornton-s-blog---823056/remembering-heather-anne---313013
