Remembering Mawmaw Bailey: - On Sundays when we were older and would help with the same dinner (fried chicken, green beans, mashed potatoes & homemade chicken gravy, brown/serve rolls, and salad with italian dressing). The women would feed the kids and men and then escape to the porch to relax. (I still do this!) We would go back in after that and pick up all the dirty dishes before sitting down to what was left. - How she would get mad at me and put extra wax on the linoleum. I would walk in the door from school, step on the kitchen rug, and promptly land on my ass when it slid. She would laugh til she cried & she wouldnt be mad at me anymore :-).
