Reminder: Saturday, September 28 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM 4th Annual Local History Fair Contact: Michael Spellmon 860-441-6750 The Groton Public Library presents its 4th Annual Local History Fair. Representatives from various local history organizations will be available to discuss their missions and publications. Societies will have books, reproduction maps and other items for sale. Groups scheduled to attend include: Groton Historical Society, New London County Historical Society, Noank Historical Society, Indian & Colonial Research Center, Mystic River Historical Society, North Stonington Historical Society, Avery Association, DAR- Anna Warner Bailey, Friends of Fort Griswold, Jabez Smith House and Descendents of American Textile Workers. Joseph Potter, Colonial American magician will once again perform throughout the fair. All who attend can enter a raffle for prizes, including books and items donated by the societies. The grand prize is a new Nook HD ereader. Location: Meeting Room 1 and 2
