Reminder: This Thursday is New Years Day and that means that we are in another holiday week with adjustment to the sanitation schedule. City of Smyrna Administrative offices will be closed on New Years Day (Thursday, January 1, 2015). Public Safety remains operational, however. The Sanitation schedule for the week will adjust as follows: Monday and Tuesday routes unchanged. Thursday routes picked up on Wednesday. Friday routes unchanged. No yard debris and large items picked up this week. Other facilities and services with altered hours are as follows: The Library will be open from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 31 and closed on New Years Day. The Smyrna Community Center will be closed for annual repair and maintenance from Wednesday - December 24, 2014 (Noon Closing) thru Thursday - January 1, 2015. Normal business operations will resume on Friday - January 2, 2015. Normal business operations will continue at Brawner Hall and Wolfe Senior Center during this time (but City offices and facilities are closed for New Years Day). The Police Department Records and Permits office will also be closed January 1 through January 4, 2015.
