Reminder: Weldon Roanoke River Partners Join paddlers from across NC and VA and beyond on Saturday, November 2nd to paddle from Weldon, NC to Halifax, NC! Come to River Falls Park, 100 Rockfish Drive (off of Highway 301), Weldon to check in and drop off your boat first, then drive to Halifax to leave your vehicle and ride the shuttle. There will be signage to put-in from I-95 exits and Highway 301. There will be signs to take-out in Halifax from put-in at River Falls Park. Registration begins at 8:00 am and coffee & goodies will be provided. Official start time is 9:00 am. In an effort to be green, please bring your own water bottle to fill if you like. Enjoy a delicious hot lunch of homemade Brunswick Stew and cornbread provided by the Halifax Fishing Club while listening to live traditional bluegrass music by the “9lb Hammers”.
