Reminds me of when I was a kid and my adopted Uncles from South Africa would tell tales of going hunting in the country to get Lions and what not. I always thought they were BSing when they would laugh about white men and their guns. That was until I saw photos of them wearing shorts, wife-beaters and sandals standind over a stack of Lions they killed just using spears! Each had a can of beer in hand and one man in the photo was showing a long open cut where the male lions Dew Claw got him for being too careless. He didnt bleed to death and nobody made a big deal. Many years later I went on a safari In Kenya and felt like a punk as I watched women and children walking by the roadside in lion country with no fear same as their counterparts here. I watched a scrawny Massai boy with a spear run off a full grown lion with just a stick! When I asked the driver how the hell that happened he said, the lions know to run because Massai boys come to kill them for their manhood trials. Okay then....
