Reminiscing about the Holiday memories of my past. Im very thankful for the wonderful memories of thanksgiving and Christmas past. My Mom truly loved the holiday season , as December was her birthday month as well. She loved driving around and looking at all the lights and decorations, eating peppermint ice cream with chocolate syrup, and especially spending time with the family. My Dad wasnt as fond of Christmas, but he always made the best of it. He played Santa one year at a company Christmas party, and I actually sat on his lap without discovering it was him. I also remember a tape that he recorded of my brother and I singing Christmas songs that he gave to my mom for her birthday. This time of year is bittersweet for me after losing both my parents to Cancer. I got my love for Christmas from all these wonderful memories with my parents and family at Christmas. Being thats it the season to reflect on what to be thankful for, Im thankful for my two children, and my friends that I consider to be FAMILY because without them my world would have no meaning!!! I wish all my FB friends and family a Safe and Happy holiday season!!!
