Renee Kishbaugh asked, My son receives behavioral help and his team has requested he be evaluated by a school psychologist to determine if his only special-educational needs are speech, reading, and writing. His offline behavior has been worrisome to his behavioral team, and his psychologist has demanded that I put my 9-year-old back into the public school system so he can be tested daily. But his grades here at home show great improvement and his IEP has shown vast improvement. Is it common for homeschooled children to be asked to do this? Because my son has told them he is happy where he is and doesnt want to be bullied any more.
