Rental registration is a subject of concern to a number of neighborhoods, including the ones in the Near Southside Alliance. Our current rental registration only covers 4 plexus or larger, allowing smaller units to operate without oversight. Because of the efforts of the coalition working to protect neighborhoods faced with stealth dormitories, the subject of rental registration is again on the table. The following one is a great example to use for single family and duplex properties. If we retain the fourplex and up, modifying it to add triplexes, I think we will have an effective tool to maintain and improve the fabric of our neighborhoods. here is an example of rental registration in College Station cstx.gov/index.aspx?page=2966 please read and provide feedback as this is an example the city has proposed.
