Repent Sabbath breakers! As the King and the Lord of both heaven and earth, Jehovah God decrees: “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of the Lord your God; in it you shall not do any work, you or your son or your daughter, your male or your female servant or your cattle or your sojourner who stays with you. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day; therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.” Indeed, Jehovah God institutes and establishes the Sabbath day as holy; it not unholy. He Himself commands all to commemorate, consider, and consecrate the Sabbath day. In other words, He charges all to both separate and set apart the Sabbath day with the upmost regard, respect, and reverence. Moreover, He abhors and condemns all who break, forget, and forsake the Sabbath day. To break the Sabbath day is to transgress against Almighty God and His law; to shun His holiness and His righteousness; and to rebel against His kingship and His lordship. To fail, to fall short, and to miss the mark of the Law of God is sin.
