So maybe one thing that Robin Williams death can remind us is the reality that depression is very, very real and debilitating to those who suffer from it...and they are not just having a bad day and they just cant snap out of it...instead, if often puts them in a place of feeling as if there are no more options and the pain and heaviness can often cause great suffering. Maybe we can begin to listen deeply, care deeply, and be a presence for those that suffer from depression even when we dont understand how it works.
