Repost : from Sh. Walid abdul Hakim For those who celebrate mothers day (and I fully understand your good intentions and respect your noble feelings), please explain to me which one you are copying and why? (This is just a sample): January 30: Jewish. March 8: Bulgaria. March 21: Egypt. March 30: UK & Ireland. April 7: Armenia. May 8: Japan. Nepal. May 10: Mexico. May 11: USA. May 15: Paraguay. May 19: Kyrgyzstan. May 26: Poland. May 27: Bolivia. France. June 12: Afghanistan. October 14: Belarus. December 8: Panama. December 22: Indonesia. Jumada II 20 (Hijri): Iran. As you could clearly see, mothers day is celebrated in many different days around the world, so why didnt you copy France, Japan, Poland, UK or all those other countries? Why did you choose to specifically copy the USA? What does that tell you? Historically speaking, the weak cultures always imitated the powerful cultures, so if you want to give the greatest woman of all one special day, then at least dont be culturally defeated and have some originality in your choices!
