Reposting something I read from World Vision Philippines post to give everyone an idea on what to pack for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda). Samsung staff volunteer for World Vision in packing relief goods to be given to affected families in northern Cebu. Relief packs include life-saving essentials that will last a family of 6 for at least 2 weeks. FOOD: 15kg rice, 10 canned sardines, 1kg monggo, 1 ltr cooking oil, 6 ltr water, 1 kg brown sugar, large can of biscuits. NON-FOOD ITEMS: Family sized blankets, mosquito net, plastic mats, can opener. HYGIENE KIT: Bath soap, laundry bars, toothbrush, toothpaste, sanitary pads, underwear for men and women, nail clippers, body wrap. SHELTER KIT: Tarpaulin sheets for temporary shelter and protection.
