We are looking to attract minimum 50 Pasifika student enrolments into the following trades courses, for which their tuition fees will be covered by the TEC Pacific Trades Scholarship administered by the Pasifika Development Office. Who can apply for the scholarship? Pasifika people of any age. (16 & 17 year olds are eligible for Youth Guarantee). When do courses start? Many start with our Semester 2 academic calendar, July. What else is required? Candidates for the scholarship must be endorsed/nominated by your Church minister, or Community Leader. MIT (through the Pasifika Development Office) will then liaise with your endorser to provide effective pastoral care to ensure successful completion of the programme, and work together to provide pathways into apprenticeships and/or employment in the trades industry. What to do? Complete MIT Engineering & Trades programme application form, the Sponsors Nomination form and Student Consent form. Bring these forms in to the faculty (plus photo ID, academic records)and confirm an interview time for acceptance into the programme. We encourage applications in ASAP.
