Reposting without the link...Thunderstorms capable of producing damaging winds and tornadoes will sweep across Kentucky on Sunday. The storms may start in far western Kentucky & southeastern Missouri just before daybreak and move eastward, reaching the Pennyrile Region by around mid morning. Some of the storms could develop into supercells capable of damaging winds and tornadoes. The tornado parameters are favorable for the possibility of tornadoes of EF-2 or greater. Winds will begin picking up overnight and will howl on Sunday. A Wind Advisory is in effect from 8 AM CST until 8 PM CST Sunday. Many gusts will range between 40 and 55 mph, but can be locally higher. The strength of the impending winds in and near the storms threaten to cause tree damage, power outages, and dangerous crosswinds for high-profile vehicles. Residents should check their weather radios and make sure they are in good working order. You may also listen in on Spotter radio traffic via iphone app 50 Radio. We will look at the data again early in the morning and hopefully things will look better than they do now. Either way, we will get through it.
