Research Opportunity - Abstract submissions open! The National Student Osteopathic Medical Association (SOMA) and the AOA Council on Research (COR) have announced a call for abstracts for the Student Poster Competition at the 2013 Research Conference. Co-sponsored by SOMA and the COR, the formal Poster Session will take place during OMED 2013—the AOA’s Osteopathic Medical Conference & Exhibition, Sept. 30-Oct. 4 in Las Vegas—on Tuesday, Oct. 2, from 1:30-5 p.m. Participating students must be SOMA members during the 2013 Research Conference. Abstracts will be published in The JAOA’s January 2014 abstract issue. To learn more, read the letter from the National SOMA Research and Development Director. Online submission opened on June 14, and the deadline is Monday, Aug. 5. The COR will award three first-place prizes of $500 and six second-place prizes of $250 each!
